Captain Larry Blue led angler Ken Krohel to this, 24 pound 2 ounce King Mackerel. Krohel was using 2 pound test line intent on capturing a World Record King Mackerel. The ensuing battle took only 25 minutes from hook-up to point of gaff. Blue and Krohel submitted an application, signed affidavits, and portions of the line and leader and the State Certified Scale weight ticket, as required by the IGFA.  After considerable review, resulting in a confirmation from the International Game Fish Association board as a new WORLD RECORD.
